Those Who Start with ‘Why’ Have the Ability to Inspire Those Around Them

I recently came across a timeless TEDx Talk by Simon Sinek, where he introduces his now-famous concept — the Golden Circle — and explains the law of diffusion of innovation to make a powerful point:
successful leaders and organizations think, act, and communicate from the inside out — they start with why.

Sinek’s message is simple but profound:

“People don’t buy what you do; they buy why you do it.”

It’s a talk every entrepreneur and leader should watch. The idea challenges us to look beyond products, features, or business models — and instead focus on the deeper purpose that drives what we do.

When you understand why you do what you do, you naturally attract others who believe what you believe. And when your mission resonates, it inspires loyalty, trust, and lasting impact.

If you don’t know why you do what you do, how will anyone else believe in it?
